Thanksgiving is around the corner

All I have to do is make it one more week, then I will be able to finally relax and eat some turkey! The rough part about going on break is that half of my break will consist of driving from Michigan to Chicago, to Green Bay and then all the way back to Michigan. It will all be worth it though because I'll get to see my family, eat lots of food, and not have to sleep in a loft. And then of course I have the holiday season to look forward to!

Homework and Projects All Day Everyday

My last couple weeks have consisted of homework, projects, more homework, and more projects. I feel like I don't have time for anything. All I want to do is have a little fun, and be social again!!I feel like if I work on my time management, then I might get the chance to get out of my dorm room. My goal for the week is to get done everything I need to, without wasting any time on non-important things. I should really try to find a blog about time management skills.

English 11/6

I was very entertained by our group debates about who should live and die in the survival situation. I thought my group did a really good job logically, and listened to each others opinions well. What I'm not too happy about is that we have so much work in this class going on at one time right now. I'm really stressed with when I'm going to have the time to rewrite these papers, plus everything else that got thrown at us. I'll manage, but I won't enjoy it.

Michigan is where I am meant to be

Ever since I was younger, I always would say that I would go to school in Michigan one day. Flash forward and I'm 18, and look where I am now. Being from Chicago, its like a similar but completely different world living in Michigan. People here go to Tim Hortons (which I never heard of) instead of Dunkin Donuts, and no one knows what Portillos is???? Everyone will smile, hold a door open, and say hello to you here, instead of walking by and never looking back. It's strange but I love everything about it. I feel like one day I could call Michigan my home, and get used to being so close to the beach, which is where I'm meant to be.

English 10/30

Today we spent a large amount of time trying to create a simple outline for  a short story as  a group. I didn't think that it could be so complicated that even when you have so many minds working together, it still takes several attempts to create an outline that fits the piece right. I learned that you don't summarize the ideas in an outline, but you must provide certain evidence, like specific events, to prove your interpretation or idea of the piece.
